No more updates :(

tHey guys! No more updates after this unless I do it at the airport on the way home, the internet now costs money  at the hotel :( so this will be I guess for the past 2 days I haven't been on. So the next part is what I wrote 2 days ago.

Hey guys, This will probally be the last day I blog. They are going to charge for internet and I don't know yet if I want to pay for an hours worth of internet that takes 10 minutes every time it loads. But anyways today was our last day in the villages.  Today we went to vpingo, it was cool to see the same kids from last year. We also went back to Mtepeni, to play with the kids for a while.

I love my three girls and the feeling of pulling up in the bus to them saying "Tori, Tori, Tori!" I love my gladys, anna, and naomi. They are just so gorgeous. I'm attaching a picture of all of them they are just so pretty. ( impossible to do with the slow internet sorry!) Naomi is the talker of the group, she just talks and talks and talks and talks and talks in swahili to me, I have no idea any words she says to me. She is just so cute. Anna is our fashion model, she is so gorgeous she is such a natural poser and has such a beautiful smile. And my gladys oh how I love my gladys haha, she is the leader of the group. She leads everyone in the songs and everything.

Today, we went to shopping in old town. It is so weird to see how many muslims there are in town. All the girls that have everything covered. It's so hottttttt here they must be miserable.

I got alot of stuff for like nothing, I'm better at good deals this year. I got like 20 bracelets and scarfs and alot of other stuff yayayayaaa. Well mom and dad, I love you alot alot alot. And I still have twenty dollars left for food for the trip home, I'm so excited for some great fast food resteraunts. Mom how is the college shopping going without me? haha I love you!

Tomorrow is the last day I get to go to Mtepeni, they slaughtered a cow for the lunch they are gonna serve. ahhhhhhh hahaha. Well, I love yall and will see you on wed. ps. dad and mom, sarah kelly wants to come to the airport is that okay? loveee you .

day 3 in Mtepeni

jambo jambo! Habari?( hello hello, how are you?)

Today I did medical group again. It was a crazy day and I was in charge of first aid again. Today was just so awesome. There was a girl who got burned by a fire and it burned her entire foot and burned her big toe off. I got to clean it and put medecine on it and wrap it and when I finished wrapping it we needed to keep the bandages clean so I gave her my sock, but when I took off my sock and started putting it on her it wasn't fitting cus her foot was so swollen. I know that I witnessed a miracle by God today, I prayed Lord please let this sock fit her and then right after my prayer the sock got bigger and I pulled it over. HOW AWESOME IS THAT? God does answer prayers. Anyways, by the end of the day I ended up giving both socks away. I gave my other sock to a girl who had a fungus infection covering her entire foot, so after we wrapped it I  gave her my sock. Another really cool thing was we had a paraplegic her body was entirely contracted in all different ways, and was the same girl we saw from last year that we prayed over in the village. It was a very busy day, I again had to clean open sores and a lot of that nasty stuff, but I was so happy to help. I even irrigated an ear all by myself to dislodge something from a little girls ear. It was awesome! haha.

Other great news is that while I have been working the past two days in medical, the other people in the group went out in the villages and all together through the past three days there has been over 50 people saved. HALLELUJAH.
And its also Ann's birthday, she turned the big 1-7. hahaha I love her :)

I love yall and will see yall in a week.

Day 2 in Mtepeni

Hey guys, Tori here again. It was our second day in Mtepeni, I wish I could show you pictures, but I guess we will have to wait till I get back to the states. Anyways, today I was in the medical group. It definitely confirmed my thoughts of wanting to go into nursing in college. I got to head up the first aid section, which was de-worming the kids, by sticking a syringe in the kids mouth and having them take the medicine. I also cleaned cuts and scrapes and got to help the doctor with holding gauze under a kid with sores that were being popped.  I also had to help the kids with putting antifungal medicine on their heads with fungus that is eating away their hair. I had to pull of scabs on their heads to get to the fungus. The screaming of the kids didn't even affect me, i'm so ready to go to college for nursing now! The needs of medical care over there is so much, it is crazy. Every person seen at the doctor had some type of disease, that was very sad to see. One boy had sickle cell anemia. Our doctor could not do anything for him and that was very sad to see :(. Also, I got to play with all the kids in the sports section again. That was so much fun, Gladys is amazing now, mimi upenda her forever. ( I love) I held her on my back for like 30 minutes. In fact, I had at least 5 kids on me one in the front and on my back and on each side of my hips. Anna was in front, gladys on my back, happy on my side and naomi also on my side haha. Yes, I know what your thinking I am a hoss for holding all these kids ;).
Tonight, we went to crossroads church for a tuesday night bible study where we had a service. It was really cool. My friend Jared who is super tall he bought me african shoes, they are so pretty! He is a cool guy that I hope to see in the future! Maybe he will buy me for 3 cows to be his wife ;) hahaha just kidding!
anyways, that is all I have for today habari za jioni ( GOODNIGHT)

Day 1 in mtpeni

hey guys, today started off very shaky, the past year I have been praying for a little girl named Gladys, she was my baby at mtpeni the days I was there, and we were both the only ones to cry together the last day, most of the kids didn't know what was going on when we left but Gladys did. This year I was so excited to see her. When I got there this morning, Gladys looked like she was terrified. She wouldn't let any of us get near her, I felt like my heart was broken, I was so sad, I kept it together for our mission work where we went into the village to evangelize. In my group we saved over 7 people in 3 hrs, which is a blessing! On the way back to the school, I couldn't hold in my sadness any longer, I bawled all the way back and through lunch. I found out that she was afraid of white people now and they asked her if she remembered me and she said yes... which made me feel a little better. The pastor said it is probably because we got so close last year and it was really hard for her when we left, and so she knows we are gonna leave again so she doesn't want to go through that again. But after lunch I was in charge of sports and gladys was in my group. I got her to play jump rope and she finally warmed up to me, I can't express to you how happy I was to hug her and play with her again, just like last year. Tomorrow we are going back and I hope that she will continue to trust me again and know that I will be coming back each year for as long as I can.

Tomorrow I will be in the medical group, which I'm very excited about because as most of my friends know I'm going to college for nursing and am planning on coming to kenya  to help out for 2 years after I graduate. Pray for Pastor Nazzaro's children, his 2 kids have malaria, and his 8 month old baby is running a fever. Pray for God's healing.

I will keep you updated, and mom and dad if your reading this PLEASE EMAIL ME.

I haven't even heard from yall, it's making me sad.

Church day!

JAMBO! Today we walked to church which was about a mile away, the church was so full that I gave up my seat and stood in the back, then I went outside to help with the kids and met a beautiful little girl named Grace. She just turned two years old. She was so beautiful. The kids were very well off at this church we went to so, tomorrow, I'm excited to go to mtpeni, which is a church we helped build the last year I was here, they just got a water well this past month and built a school, which is so exciting to see! Tomorrow I get to see my favorite little girl from last year, Gladys. I'm going to cry tears of joy when I see her, I already know it!

Today I had alot of sharp pains in my stomach, it lasted for about 2 hrs, but went away just about 15 minutes ago which is such a blessing! Pray for my health on this trip, that was random pains, I don't think it was anything bad so it's all good right now :)
Well it is now time for dinner, even though I'm not hungry haha, I'm gonna skip I think.
Anyways, I will for sure have a very very long blog for yall tomorrow as we are going to be doing alot of stuff! We will be in the morning walking through the villages sharing God's word for 3 hrs. Then we are running our crafts, sports, and medical program for the next 6 hrs after that. So, Pray that God works through us tomorrow and we lead people to Christ
